Battery grips can be found on several tools and devices. If a device needs a battery to function, then a battery grip may be used with it. Several companies have manufactured battery grips for different electronic gadgets.

Battery grips are usually an accessory of a camera. It will be attached to the camera and will serve as an enhancement to it in so many ways. The grip enables the battery's capacity. Some even have different buttons in it that boosts the functionality of the camera. On a Canon, a battery grip has a button that enables users to capture pictures in portrait style. Battery grips may add some weight to the camera, but it is sure worth the extra load. Canon usually makes battery grips as an accessory to several of their camera models. Some third party manufacturers also have their own versions for other brands like Nikon and Pentax.

At times, a battery grip for a camera adds another shutter button to it. Using a battery grip increases the camera's power supply. This means larger flash bulb can now be used with it. Without a battery grip, a camera with an enhanced flash bulb will just last a few hours. Battery grips also reduce the charging time for digital cameras and videos.

More importantly, it gives the users a comfortable handle on the toy. Playing Gameboy would be easier with the grip. It also reduces hand and thumb stress while playing.

The use of battery grips is now becoming popular for several devices. This is an exciting product because it is never expected that a simple grip, will give one too many different features to a device.
